I bought the CX-7 in March. I went back to the dealer a week later to have the auto lock function turned on by software. I find it amazing! Now my problem is that from the driver side I can't operate the passenger window. I can lock it, but I can't roll it up or down. From the passenger side the window works great. Any ideas on where the problem is? Does this have anything to do with turning on the auto lock function?
Thanks!
You need to reset it. I can't find the instruction but if I can recall, do this:
1. Turn your ignition to the ON position.
2. Using the passenger side buttons, roll down your window (passengers) all the way down and then all the way up. You might have to do it twice but not sure about this.
3. turn OFF ignition and turn it ON again. It should be working by this time.
If succesful, you can now control ALL windows from the driver's control. Let me know if it works.

If that doesn't work, try this:
Turn car to "on"
Roll down passenger window (from passenger side) all the way. Then roll passenger window up all the way holding it for 3 seconds.
Repeat on Drivers Side.
From drivers side repeat with both buttons simultaneously.

The key is holding it. You will even hear a click in the dash. It is a known item.

But those instructions are only to have the windows FULLY opened and closed AUTOMATICALLY after disconnecting the battery. My passenger window does not work at all from the driver's switch. From the passenger's switch it works fine. Thanks!

I know the directions I left worked to fix the problem when I had it. Have you tried it?

You guys RULE! I followed the steps and at first even hearing clicks in the dash nothing happened but then after the third time I tried WORKED! Thank you so much! I was picturing leaving my car at the dealer for rewiring, both doors set apart with the Bose speakers on the floor.... Now I can even close both windows from the outside of the car and everything!!! Thanks a bunch!!!
