Does anyone know if there are any plans for Mazda to make one for the CX-7? I've been getting about 2-3 mpg better on my Speed3 and absolutely love the way it sounds.

Ummm, in case you didn't notice on these fine pages, there are many of us who've bought into the CPE CAI System...virtually everyone I know of here purchasing theirs from CPE www.cp-e.com/2035.html, and it's just a spectacularly wonderful, beautiful, fantastic performing system!;) CPE is, according to my source, a small company with just 4 employees, apparently all engineers or associated with that field, and I assure you that their system for the CX-7 would be hard to be improved on...it's everything everyone says it is, and then some. And they have been busy lately fulfilling OUR orders!

As soon as CPE gets a batch finished, they're sold out again, or they are filling existing orders...personally, I waited for some 2 months for my CPE CAI, and it was well worth waiting for! The only drawback to the CPE system is maintenance on the special Advanced Flow Engineering, Inc., "Pro Dry S" oil-free air filter, since it's best serviced by taking off the left front wheel, removing the Mazda inner fender liner, and physically temporarily removing it from the CAI for cleaning: tap it clean, vacuum it clean, or for 100% maintenance, it's best to literally wash it with a mild detergent and warm water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry for several hours to be safe. Unlike other filter media, with this one you never have to apply oil!, though!...which is a wonderful thing!

Go to www.cp-e.com/2035.html where the CPE CAI System is one of their featured products...you should check it out! Even the Service Manager at my selling Mazda Dealer was impressed with the system when I showed it to him yesterday, as he told me: "With this system on the market, I don't see how MazdaSpeed could make anything better...that's a really nicely engineered unit."

Kindest regards,

I saw a local parts shop had the CPE intake in stock right now. If you want it powder coated, you can get it in basically any color you can think of...

We get 22-25.5 MPG with ours. TMIC and CAI installed only at the time. So performance and MPG are all good. www.cp-e.com has them in stock right now, too.
