Hey guys,

Just wanted to say 'hi'. :)

I'm not yet an owner, but am seriously considering picking up a CX7 GT 4WD. I'm in the Lower Mainland of BC. I've test-driven the RAV4 Sport and Ltd (both in V6, 4WD form), the CRV, Outlander XLS, and the CX7 GT 4WD so far... have yet to drive the RDX... not considering the Murano... (actually drove the new G35 Sport and G35X, as well as the 528xi, but I think a cross-over/small-SUV is what I need right now). Anyway, the CX7 is quite impressive (superior interior and handling to the other "utes" I've tested so far... very car-like) and I have a modding bug in me, and the turbo engine would put me right at home.

Anyway, just a short story as to how I've become very interested in the CX7.

I was told there will be no changes to the '08's... doesn't look it from the online broshures either, but are there small changes they don't tell us about?

I'm also curious what kinds of prices people paid, but I'll start another thread for that...

Are there any other good forums for the CX7?

Thanks!

Nice to "meet" you guys!

Fred

This is the best one we have found. There is another one, but I have seen a lot of kids on it who are not mature enough to really be online.

Test drive it again. I test drove the CX-7 on 2 occasions. And the car grew on me on the second one. I was underwhelmed in the first drive because I got stuck in traffic. Second time around it was full throttle, hard braking, and even some quick slaloms, it was fun. Period.

Out of your list, the CX7 and the RDX will be your top 2 sporty picks for SUVs. The RDX will be more expensive though. Plus I've never driven an RDX myself but on paper it matches well. IMHO the CX7 is better looking. As far as websites, Raider is correct. This site is the best CX7 site. There is only one other site but it is a general Mazda site and there are a lot of immature members on that other forum (from my own personal experience).

I test drive FJ, (dont even look at RAV 4..personally me and my wife dont like the outlooking), CRV and then CX-7 the same day..and we felt in love with CX-7 the first drove. To be honest, if i dont buy CX-7, i may go for the Outlander, the new one looks very good, may be i just compare with the old one, that why i feel the new one looks damn good.
but the CX-7 really suprise me, i used to own a 93 MX-6, and that's the worst vehicle i had own, i though i would never buy another mazda, but the style and the research from consumer report build my cofidence with mazda one more time. Me and my wife love it every sec.
I like Murano, but its first came on 2002 , and seems every where, same as CRV and RAV4...
so me and my wife decide to go for CX-7.
