OK, I've never gone shopping for a full-out setup with speakers, head unit and everything. Since I'm not going to be able to get the CX7 with the Bose system like I first thought, I need some help finding speakers and a head unit.
Also, tips for finding a technician that can install it (I will NOT do it myself, lol.) would be appreciated. There any good guides for beginners to shopping around? Stuff like price ranges and all that.

your biggest concern would be to obtain a face plate to help integrate the head unit. http://www.mcx7.com/showthread.php?t=586

theres the Faceplate, and Some really good 6X8 Infinity component speakers would go GREAT for a CX-7 without Bose,

And if you want Full sound you're going to need a Sub,

I Just replaced my Stock H/U with this one from JVC and couldn't be anymore happier

SRS circle Surround Sound, BUILT in HD radio, the EQ adjustments, etc... all MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the stock H/U. And the backlighting for the buttons match the interior nicely.
MAZOOM - any pics of the HU installed?
Did you go with a sub? if so where did you put it?
The guys doing the install for me are having problems trying to figure where to put the sub (I dont want a box in the cargo area)
