I just got the PCM and TCM reflashes done to try to solve problem of the gas pedal vibrating in 4th and 5th gears.
The results are good and bad. the vibration lessened but is still there. I noticed it happens when I get into the turbo boost range. Anybody else have this happen?

Also my mileage will probably go to crap since the engine revs alot more now.
Pre-flash i would be in 6th gear 60-75mph would be around 2000 rpm. Anything above 75 and it would instantly jump to 2500rpm.

Now its at 2500 rpm at 60mph!! :( It stays there till around 73mph
when my foot is totally off the throttle, the engine is still spinning at around 2200. Used to be it would drop down to 1500 or so.

So please tell me how fast your engine is going at 60? 70? and was it after the upgrade? also if you notice a differnce in pedal feel when you get into the boost

Sounds strange to me. I will check my CX7 when out and will reply. The torque converter locks up in 6th gear about 60 mph? when you have a light throttle. It should stay locked untill you ask for more power and when it unlocks the tackometer will jump up about 250 rpm. I will check. Ed

after reading up on "how automatic transmissions work" i think after the upgrade the tranny isn't going into overdrive mode.

That is a new one for me. Has your dealer kept telling you no problem found? I would try a different dealer if possible.

No this one has been pretty good. They listened to my problem and tested it out. We both thought the original problem with the gas pedal vibration was fixed with the TCM upgrade (this was done only last thurs).
Now AFTER the upgrade new problems popped up. Now the gas pedal vibrates whenever i gett into boost and 6th gear doesn't seem to go into overdrive.

6Th gear is the overdrive but, when in 6th gear the torque converter should lock. when driving at steady speeds the lock should occure at ~ 60? mph. My CX 7 at 60 mph is showing ~ 1900 rpm

Face it, your pedal cannot handle the tremendous horsepower.

I am inclined to have them expect the rear motor mount. If it is torn, weird stuff like pedal vibrations have happened in other cars.

Is there any way for me to inspect the motor mounts visually on my own?
What other signs should i look for that might be caused by the motor mount?

There is. You can support the engine, and unbolt it from the bottom. It looks like a dogbone, and see if the center is pushed all the way to one part of the bone. It is just an idea. I know Street Unit makes them for Speed6 with a solid bushing in the middle. To get one for the CX-7, we need 21 more people to commit before they are engineered.

Other symptoms are a clunking, and if you rev your engine, it will flop around like a fish, more than it does under normal conditions.
