CEL is back again. It was supposedly fixed 2 months ago when the dealer replaced the leak detection pump. It came back at the same time as my P2006 CEL. The latter was fixed per TSB but they could not reproduce the evap emissions leak that set off the P0455 code. Well it came back last night. I am going to ask them to look at the fuel neck filler pipe TSB this time. At least I get a free rental everytime I go back but this is a PITA.

Too bad you cannot go to a different dealer to get it fixed.

My dealer is not actually my closest dealer. But it is the dealer I purchased from. 1 hour drive though. My closest dealer which I have never stepped foot in is 30 minutes away. I made a point of bringing up the fuel filler neck TSB this time. Last time they did make an ernest effort to reproduce the evap leak and P0455 CEL. It just didn't leak last time. This time they will have to fix it regardless of their ability to reproduce the leak. I will not accept any other solution. I will not go back for a 4th attempt at a P0455 fix.

I think Mazda USA will need the regional rep to get involved if the dealer does not fix it. So lame...

I told my dealer to read the fuel filler pipe TSB. Well they overnighted the pipe and installed it. They also performed the 2 recalls. The VSSV actuator was already replaced so for the recall all they did was "inspect" it. They reflashed my ECU for the 2nd recall.

That 2nd recall PCM recalibration should make your CX-7 drive better also, maybe straight away, but with a CAI unit it may take a 1/2 of tank of gasoline or so to fully adapt and take effect. That calibration is the latest PCM calibration available, and many CX-7 owners have reported improved throttle response, and better acceleration from a dead stop also.
My service adviser told me to expect improved performance at low speeds, and from a stop from that calibration. However, as many of you know I didn't drive it hardly at all between the calibration on the 4th, and the 14th, when I replaced the stock muffler with the CP-E Cat-Back Exhaust System. Having reset the PCM yet again for that Mod, I am now noticing after about 250 miles a tremendous power gain, and improved throttle response across the board.
Have you noticed any improvement in acceleration or throttle response yet?
Kindest regards,

Feels the same to me. Will see if mileage goes up. I have been averaging 18-19 mpg in mixed driving.
