Has anyone hauled any Kayaks or Canoe etc. and if so,
What Did you use Thule or Yakima and What Crossbars from either of those companys did you use to Match the CX-7's Cross bars, The CX-9 has the better rack....in my opinion. There are so many options from Thule and Yakima, I have all the Thule bars and sadles from my Blazer, but looks like I need new feet to attach.....to the CX7 Bars.
Cheers

This thread could help some, I don't really dip into roof racks much.

Took a canoe camping last summer with the CX-7. Just tied it to the roof with styrofoam blocks between the canoe and the roof.

The biggest problem we had was finding a place to tie the ropes on the front and the back.

We ended up using the tow-loops in the back with a piece of electrical conduit through them in back. Not really sure how to describe was we did in front.

Thanks, Good idea on the blocks, I have existing thule bars with saddles etc, but the FEET of my Thules are not made for the CX7 - just wondering if any one did the homework on what is going to work ......
Thanks
