Hi!
This is the first picture of my CX-7 2007 GT. I did some drifting on the snow covered roads (and on large empty parkings to be safe from hitting somebody) over the weekend; I did not had so much fun with a car since I driven a rear propulsed car maybe 12 years ago.

I got the CX-7 less than a month ago and we only got 1 good snow storm of about 10 inches since then (we normaly get more, maybe it is the global warming?).
DCS and TCS are really great! I did a fast start while turning (still in 10" of white stuff) and as soon as the wheels spins, the CX-7 reduce the gas on the engine (I still have the gas pedal on the floor) and increase the speed while checking that the tires do not spins. You get to your cruising speed quite fast.
For those that don't have snow and ice:
On snowy road (with ice on stops and intersections), the ABS kicks in on mostly all stop and make it easy to control the CX-7.
I live north of Montreal (Canada) and we often get what we call 'black ice'. It's is a very slippery ice some time covered with a small snow that you can't see before your on it. I hit some spot of ice and I feel really in security with the CX-7 (it brakes a lot and the ABS are doing there job). I have to see how it will do on a 40ft or 50ft of ice (ran onto one last December with another vehicule -not fun-).
I am waiting anxiously for the next snow storm and stay tune for the next pics!

Hi!
I bought it from Albi Mazda in Terrebonne, they are the largest mazda dealer in the world (http://www.albimazda.com/en/). They have a large volume of purchase and the best price I was able to find.
No problem in the cold or the snow. Yesterday we got a foot of snow and the it is really fun to drive the CX-7 in these conditions.
From a weather point of view, I did Montreal --> Quebec on a weekend and there I got a -40F. I left the CX-7 on the road in the middle of fields in a big snow storm for a couple of hours (I do nature photography) and it started/drove without problem.
Many roads were closed that day because of the weather conditions (post snow-storm) and I hit lot of black ice on the highway. The CX-7 handled that very well!
This is a 'souvenir' of that windy, stormy, cold day :

Hi Patrice!
I personnaly prefer 4 wheels drive, especially during the winter season. It's really fun to drive in the snow and of course, safer.
I think the price is not that much between 2 wheels drive and 4 wheels drive, if you can afford it, go for it. :)
Where a you located?

Looks great Richard! Exactly like mine - inside and out - only the Aussie version, ...thats if I really get on Thursday! I will have great difficulties taking pics in the snow though... living in Sydney! May be I'll try the beach instead.

It will be nice to see a picture of your CX-7 with a Kangaroo :)
The CX-7 could be a good excuse to get us some nice picture from Sydney!
I am already waiting :)
Kindly include pictures of local "Birds" in Manly:D
Presumably, they will be flocking all over the CX-7:cool:

Great shot, especially considering almost the entire scene is white.

No, only the Bose audio system...
BTW : I got a check engine this week and my Mazda dealer replaced the PVC valve, reprogrammed the PCM and changed the gas cap. These were all recall for the CX-7. The car is now driving better (you may want to get this done before leaving the garage) :)
