I did not know there was a NAV option for Europe. Is it even an option when you buy there?

Well, I'm sure you already know this but the map's are from Denso so trying maps for Europe from Denso could work.

the problem is that Denso doesn't offer maps directly. They redirect you to navteq and navteq to mazda and mazda to nowhere ;-) Especially when it comes to such an "exotic" country like Poland and Romania probably even more.... Can you belive it that Mazda first opened its official trade in Poland in November 2007!!!! Before that date there where only private small dealerships to service Mazda in Poland... They now started to build the whole sales network and so on... Try to image when are they going to get to the navigation topic in Poland ;-))) We have to manage all by ourselves ;-)) That is why I will probably move to US with my CX7 just to have the nav working ;-)))) It is chaper to buy a house there than in Warsaw... And gues what is the price of CX7 in Poland (EU Version, no nav)... hm? starting from $70.000 !!!

I thought Romania is strange, but it seems Poland is on the same wavelenght.
I bought the US version 2008 CX-7 and paid around $57.000.

I have 1 DL DVD 8,5gb for western Europe also Denso 2007 but it ends exactly on Germany and as far as I remamber it also has Czech republic and Slovakia. On the other normal DVD I do have everything from Poland to the east including some countries from former "Rusian Block". Strange thing is that on this DL DVD for western Europe I don't have voice navigation but only graphic signs and only one voice signal when the turn has to be done. Voice nav works perfect on the other DVD with Poland and easter Europe. Can you check if there is Poland on your DVD and if yes, would you be so kind and send me the DVD or give me the net source address? ;-)

Liviu, I am interested in getting a functional navigation DVD with Europe maps, I am interested in Romania maps mostly, please pm me if you can share details on how can I obtain one - until then, my navi system with North America maps is completely useless here in Cluj, Romania. Thanks.

All - there have been multiple post of people stating that they have gotten Western European maps to work. I understand that the Mazda6 2006 ones work and it probably is true. I went to the Navteq website and this came up for the Mazda6:
Europe - Mazda SDAL 2-Disc Set v.2008/2009
It says 2008/2009 version. Can anyone confirm if this is the version used in 2006? It does not sound correct to me. Also - can someone who got one to work post the exact version so I could Google a good DVD from a vendor? Some more details might be of help for those of us who are looking for an accurate version. I would hate to dump money on a version that is incorrrect.
The help would be appreciated - thanks for checking.
