Love the Meguiars products and will use their leather cleaner/conditioner as recommended in my other thread.
Just curious what you folks use for cleaning/protecting the rest of the interior pieces. I have Simoniz interior cleaner/protector that I loved using on my other car's interior but it doesn't seem to apply very well to the interior pieces of the CX-7. Seems to streak and look weird on pieces like the instrument cluster top and fake leather on the doors. Silver trim is weird also.
What is everyone else using for the interior?
Also, regarding Meguiar's exterior wax, I really liked using their Gold Class liquid wax. Is the NXT stuff better in your experiences? I still have some Eagle 1 Nano liquid wax that I haven't finished but I haven't decided if I want to use it up or just go straight to the Meguiars.

I use Armor All new car look protectant, or the regular wipes when I need that shine.
Fake vinyl on the doors? Elaborate please.

I've been using the Armor All wipes so far. I'm hoping this weekend warms up a bit and I'll be trying out 303 protectant.

For the inside and outside ''plastic'' I use Aerospace 303 protectant and Megiuars NXT is the best wax I've used so far, same for their leather cleaner/protectant.

I too use the 303 aerospace protectant on the interior surfaces and all rubber trims/seals. (I find it works best sprayed onto a damp microfiber and then applied to the surface - it goes on more evenly.) I think it works great. Day to day (at stoplights), I dust with a dry microfiber.
On the exterior, I have used Megs NXT wax (the original formula) and thought it looked great on my red. It gave it a wonderful deep shine. But it doesn't last all that long. For winter I applied 3 coats of collinite 476s which is still going strong and looks great. The 476 is regarded as one of if not the most durable carnuba wax, perfect for Alaska winters and a car that lives outside. I look forward to trying other combos this summer once it warms up. Playing with the different options is half the fun. (I haven't tried the gold class or nano wax.) If you put something on and it doesn't thrill you, try something else.

Awesome. Thanks for the advice. Does the 303 Aerospace and Collinite 476s need to be ordered online or can it be purchased at a local retailer?

Hi Hardwrkr,
I don't know where you are, but I picked up the 303 at a local marine dealer...then I saw it later in the day at Canadian Tire.

Hardwrkr...incidently, I used the 303 for the first time today...seemed to brighten everything up, without the high gloss like Armor All.

I too like the matte finish 303 gives. And I think it performs better and better once you have a few applications down. I think when I started, I applied it once a week for a month or so. After that, it seemed to practically repel any scuff marks or whatever. Now I just apply it about every three weeks or once a month.
As for where to buy it, I have been able to find the 303 locally. But I had to order the Collinite online.
Enjoy!

I use Vinylex on my other car, been very happy with it, not overly shiny / slippery.
Just got the CX-7, so have not used it on this vehicle yet.
I roll with the 303. It's tough to find at stores (I just order online), but well worth it.
I formerly used Armor-All, but got tired of the film it left on the windows when it would bake in the summer, and I also started questioning how well it actually protects (vs. just "dressing up" plastic) after my dash cracked despite religious use. The 303 produces a natural-looking shine without the grease of Armor-All, so I'm convinced it's actually soaking in and protecting better.

I found 303 at Marine stores but, they overcharge. Is there anywhere else you can find ita

I'd have to stick with armor all, it's been around for years and worked for years. i like the gloss look, goes well with black

It's not cheap, costs about $9 + shipping online for a 16-oz. bottle.
If cost is a concern and you like the 303, you can always buy the 128-oz refill for around $60: http://www.autogeek.net/303aerprot.html
