I'm sure some of us has some tire punctures in their life. I've had a record 7 in the last 3 months. Sigh. 2 on my CX-7 and 5 on my Fortuner.
But my most recent puncture takes the cake. It was the heel of a high heel shoe.:eek::eek:
Anyone else have puncture stories?

I had a MK 5 Lincoln with Michelin steel belted radials and had one punctured by a toothpick! That was some good wood...

I live in a new housing development and had several nail punctures which required several new tires.

You upgraded right? Either stock tire is seriously not worth replacing.
I've had a few, but they we're all fixable and I had the work done by Big O Tires when I went in for my free rotation.

Snake fang? LOL. that's pretty interesting. Adds some credibility to 'chew off more than you can bite'.
Yeah, noticed it last night actually. I had just had one tire fixed up. Then in the evening, I noticed something felt wrong with the tire and found a puncture. Geez. The tire shop fixes my puncture free since I'm such a frequent customer. Oh yeah, the owner is actually outside my house as I type this. He's selling me some 20" TSWs. I'll take some pics and ask for opinions.
The owner told me he had gone through 20 punctures in a 2 month period while his shop was under renovations.

Darn contractors here are always driving with open tail-gates, dropping wood, nails, screws and whatever. Police don't seem to care because they drive by offenders even though it is against the law. Ed in Cape Coral, FL

I actually was getting gas today, picked up a nail just laying there next to my tire. 1" and it would be in my tire. God Bless the road hazard package

Since I bought the car I've had nail/screw in one of my tires 6 times. One of which was no big deal since the screw was short and didn't puncture all the way through so they just pulled it out and I was on my way. The last time, which was just 2 weeks ago, I had to buy a new tire ($250!). I bought the same Goodyear because they recommended I keep it the same so both sides are consistent. Sucks!

Put on new tires on the XV cruiser for a group ride down through Death Valley. Stopped for gas in the middle of Death Valley and note a screw head in middle of my new rear tire. Left it in road 900 miles got home still not sure if it went through or was just a short one in the rubber. Still no loss of air pressure. Tire feeling fine. Rode over to the dealer and he pulled it out with pliers, Bam! tire went instantly flat! Lucky me.
New tires on my truck $260 each. Driving home it feels like its pulling to the right. I get home and the right front looks low. I fill it up. Next morning I go out to go to work and the tire is flat to the rim. I pulled the tire and put on the spare. I find a piece of a plastic car grille PLASTIC that is formed into a triangle with the point straight into the tire .
Ouch. Why it did not just get crushed when a 5900 lb truck rolled over it is beyond me...

Wife with newborn son in my truck with one of our Wolf dogs gets diverted off road by a road crew working on the road. They had dug out the shoulder where she had to pull off so the asphalt was sticking out in a jagged edge. Wife hears a bang and right rear side wall has a 4 inch slice cut cleanly through.
Firestones are not very tough..
She had to put the spare on as our Wolf would not allow anyone near her or the kid.
Then I had my ears bent for days about my #$%^^&*& truck breaking down on her...
Road company did eventually pay for my tire.

We were on a trip to visit my Dad up in Sacramento in July.
110 degrees. After a 3 hour drive pulled into a Shell station to get gas to fill up before going to my Dads.
Pull in. Stand on left side fill up 30 gallons and get back in. Put it in gear and it does not want to go like normal. WTF?? Get out and the right rear is stone flat. 110 degree air. Black pavement 130 degrees. I got roasted changing the tire.
Found a large nail in it that I picked up just before the pump!

Yeah, I JUST got a nail in my tire yesterday coming back to las vegas, and when I pulled into discount tire they did not want to fix it because whatever went in my tire make it though the other side and they said the punctures we're too close, needless to say I'll be taking it to Big O tires where I bought them. Since I didn't have a spare and I told them if they couldn't fix it they wouldn't be able to sell me anything. they gave me a Failstone Turanza EL42 for $20 dollars.

That's too bad. but if there's too many punctures too close, there's not much they can do either except sell you a new tire.

Big O should just replace it.
They did on the flat I got on the truck at the gas station. We pulled into one a block from the gas station at 6PM.
They stayed open and gave me a new tire as these were new tires and we had the road warranty. No charge...
