Took my ECU out today to send to CP-E for the flash. Required in this process is to remove the battery. So after a couple of hours, I decided to 'fish' around the engine (seeing that the battery was out and had lots of room), and remembered somewhere in the forum that it was discussed that some tubes may be loose; which would cause a leak and potential fuel cuts. So I finally decided to check these and started at the intake. Once I hit the turbo, I was quite suprised to notice how loose the tubes were at the inlet and outlet (more the inlet; where the intake meets the turbo). For example... I gave it a very light pull, and I was literally sliding the tube on and off with ease. Same with the outlet of the turbo, but took a little more pressure to do so. So I tightened them up nice and good.
Now, unfortunately since I don't have an ECU, I can't check to see if my fuel cut issue has improved in any way. Want to put the 3" TMIC back on (running with the CAI and midpipe which will cause a fuel cut) to datalog and check results. I would assume my fuel cut issues would improve.
Anyway, I think it would be worth your time to take the battery out and check the turbo tubes. Theres a good chance many of yours are just as loose.
