As much as this is a good thing for Mazda, I hate the JD Power test method. There is no differentiation in these reports between things like the CX-7 gas cap issue and say an engine blowing up.

I should suck it up though; this is good for our resale values, but I would never use their metrics to pick a car...

Yeah, which is why it got such a low rating in CR, the gas cap issue...

We've gotten like 32 surveys since we bought my wife's Legacy in January.

I've gotten 0 surveys since we bought the CX7 last July.

Either the survey companies hate me, or Mazda uses very different methods than Subaru.

I picked up my 7 at the end of June. Got Mazda survey in July. JD Power one in August.

Bought in April - no surveys received, only the package from Mazda welcoming me to the family and the survey about the dealership. When we bought our MINI, we had surveys out the wazoo. :confused:
