hi all

can someone confirm whether the external temp display shows temps that are below 0 degrees?

I've had my car for 2 winters (pretty cold mornings in Canberra!), and I've taken it up to the snowy mountains in the snow and never seen less than 0C on my display!

just wondering...

the instruction book doesn't specify any temp range for the display

cheers

You just tap it. holding it switches between F and C.

Speaking of Temp. Ottoblotto, What is the temp in Iraq going to be. 85 Sunny with cool breeze from the southwest with chance of afternoon showers?

J/K

Seriously, what is the temp. over there and do they measure any humidity?

well temp right now is about 105f 42c some cloud coverage (surprisingly),light winds from the sw and about a 5% chance of mortars. humidity is measured in the amount of tears you shed when you realize its actually saturday afternoon, been at work for 11 hours have about three more to go and there isnt a beer within a thousand miles... :)

Otto,

I know alot of times there are groups that collect and send things to the troops that may be needed. IE Razors, shaving cream, phone cards, canned goods and such.

My 13 year old son is a boy scout and needs to do a service project. Is there anything you or your comrades are in dire need of?

If I'm not mistaken, beer.

Can we legally send Beer?

If I can i would be more than happy to buy 5 or six cases and Fedex them.

ok so im not sure what the dash display is, lcd?, but if it is, you could take a picture of it with the flash on the camera and see if there is a spot on there for the - you need for the below zero. if it works you would see -88 on the picture. just an idea.

Emtpbill, thanks for the thoughts! and although i wish beer could be sent, unfortunately it cannot. it would be a violation of general order #1. no alcohol in a warzone... what happened to the good ole days. no worries though, we have a px here that gets us all the goodies we really need. thanks for supporting the troops/civilians over here though!! just send us your prayers and good thoughts from home!

I've seen waaay below 0 (C) on my display up here in the cold Northeast last winter. No problems on the range, but there were a few instances where the display seemed off quite a bit showing much lower temp than it actually was. I can understand higher display when she's sitting in the sun, but lower??

I've seen it go below 0 deg F as well. I think the lowest I saw was -8, which as far as I could tell, was fairly accurate.
