I'm taking a road trip with my family next month. We've got lots of family spread through CA and WA, going to be visiting a bunch. Still in love with my car so I'm actually excited to be spending lots of time driving. Gas has dropped in price quite a bit and it's cheaper everywhere we're going than here in LA, which is nice too.
Our route is basically north to Seattle, then across to Spokane, then back home. We don't have any people in Oregon, we're planning on camping and I've heard the lighthouses are pretty cool, want to stop at one of them. In Washington we'll be in Seattle for a few days, also Port Angeles and Spokane. If anybody has any specific cool places to see, in Oregon or Washington, I'd appreciate hearing about them.

If interested in micro brewed beer, there are a TON of them up there.

Here are a few pics from our trip. I tried to get good mileage, most of the time set the cruise at 70 and got 26 mpg one tank. Average for the whole trip was about 23.

We went camping in Oregon, it was real pretty, had a good time. The kids loved exploring the campsite, especially after being in the car for 9 hours.

Another shot is from Lassen Vocanic Park in northern California.

We camped by a lighthouse in Oregon (Heceda Lighthouse) that was real cool. There's a shot of the coast from the top of it.

Looks like an awesome trip! Makes me miss Cali for the parks alone...

That one tank is impressive, and it looked like a great trip.

my grandpa lives at the end of a long drive on a gravel road in Spokane. Julie got dirty.
Went to a brewery in Salem called McMenamins that was great and saw Multnomah Falls on the Columbia River.
