My wife and I will be doing the car seat mod in April, 2009! Saw the 1st one a few weeks ago (looked like a little peanut), the then saw the 10 week ultrasound last Thursday. Kicking legs, waving arms, and a perfect heartbeat. We knew for a while, and in fact it has killed a bunch of the non-baby related mods I was actually looking into. But it will be so worth it. We have been trying to move to Jacksonville/ Saint Augustine for a while. She works up there right now, so it is tough, she is only home on weekends. Housing market sucks so bad, but we gotta get a bigger house! Dropping the price to $115K from 125K, so hopefully that will get us a buyer.
I also want to find a shop to match the MS3 interior, and do a nice fabric for the CX-7's car seat to match the leather, but I have been told it will take a back burner to all the other needs.
Here is one of the pics of the sonogram from last week.

Congrats! We are actually having our 1st kid at the end of October. It put my modding budget to 0 as well :(
We have a car seat, but I haven't tried to fit it in the CX7 yet, I don't want to make my car feel old too soon.

congrats! that same mod turned my rx8 into a cx7 back in july :)
its hard, stressful, and tiring. and you'll find yourself dealing with and laughing about things that would have repulsed you before. but as you see them growing, and learning, and developing their personalities, it really is worth it. and when they start smiling, and cooing, and laughing, any problems you are having just kind of melt away.

It was one we considered. We are at Baptist South for ours. New facility, pretty good place.

Tips:
- At the shower, register for tons of diapers and stuff that you will NEED. People usually want to buy clothes and toys, so don't put any of that on the list.
- If someone you know has an infant, see if you can practice some changing of diapers, feeding, etc. No matter what you hear, it's not like changing oil. :D
- Start saving your vacation time now! It is nice to be able to spend a couple of weeks at home once the baby arrives.
- Buy a boppy. Awesome with a newborn
- When the doctor's bills come, contest EVERYTHING! Most times, doctors will get what they can from insurance and won't persue if you can't pay your portion. What should have been $13,000 in bills for us, we were able to get down to $5,000.
I want pictures of the matching baby seats; I may have to do that!

Oh, I m sure it will be a lot longer than 18 years. But at 12, we get their first car to restore (old V-Dub, will be REALLY old then...)

Just an update for everyone. My wife and I found out yesterday, Addison Elizabeth will be coming to our family in April 2009! Already being felt kicking (first time during a turkey reuben, and last night at PF Chang's!) a few times, she is making her presence known. Already finding great places to kick and push on to make Cori uncomfortable.
Now to find some pink tools, so daddy's little girl can help work on the cars!
congradulations get ready 4 no rest lol

now i havent had the most exciting life, but ive driven race cars, snorkled with sharks in the maledives, flown in military helicopters in combat, been to venice, london, amsterdam, poland and austria, rode a zzr600 in kosovo, partied in macedonia, played in two metal bands, and had many many good times with my friends and family. and the greatest moments in my life was when i picked up my babies for the first time and saw their eyes look into mine. when i became a father, i knew for the first time what unconditional love was. when i look at my girls and boy the feeling in my heart cannot be put into words. i feel like the proudest man on the planet.
Raider, i welcome you into the world of being a Dad and tell you that it will be the coolest thing that you will ever do in your life. Congratulations my friend. and dont worry about the sleep thing, with a girl, you wont get it ever again. Ever. ;)

Oh, I know. I am just looking forward to the experiences, and hope she has some sort of interest in cars.
I do need to look for girly power tool sets to get her started. Who knows, maybe by the time she is old enough to drive, we will be restoring mom's old CX-7!

YAY for girls! They are so much easier than boys! My nephews are crazy! But I still love them! Also get a gun....sign her up for karate....and regulate clothing. My girls are about to be 8 and 6 and thank God have shown no interests in boys!! My husband and I are NOT looking forward to those teenage years. Enjoy her as a baby as much as you can, they grow so fast!

Man that is so true.
My daughter is so much easier to deal with than my son.
But they do get overly emotional at times where boys are more consistent.
