Im loving my CX-7...just curious about what aftermarket performance parts other owners have put on their cx-7s...that actually make a difference from stock....also....does anybody take their cx-7 down the 1/4....i traded my 02 trans am and 05 taurus for this...i wanted 2 do somethin different...and make a fast rarely seen street/strip monster....

youll basically be in heaven

also go to http://www.cp-e.com/scan/co=yes/fi=products/sf=category/se=CX7/op=eq.html?open=

thats pretty much all you should need...i dont think theres an official site for the Piasini flash...but go to aftermarket section of the forum and youll be all good

well, since the stock turbo kicks in so low in the RPM range, get a larger turbo on top of that for later in the RPMs. I don't really trust nitrous, but if you feel inclined, do so. Just make sure your engine can handle the extra load though, otherwise kiss your car goodbye, as Mazda probably won't cover it under warranty.

Welcome..

A bigger turbo would turn the CX-7 into a dog.

If you're looking for maximum power, get a TMIC, intake, motor mount inserts(DIY on here), maybe a downpipe, and a flash. But this motor isn't good for drag strips... the turbo, and rods become a limiting factor, the lack of aftermarket has a lot to do with it.

Wouldn't the larger turbo on top of the smaller one be a good idea?

That's twin turbo and things start to get reallly complicated then. A dual scroll set up would be best. One turbo, two scrolls= almost like two turbos in one, but you have to get a lot of custom work done for it to work properly.

messing with the turbo= $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

not worth it...just get the one you have to breathe better

14.9 with a 8 and 12psi limit in first and second. Not taking in TMIC pressure loss and a possible BPV leak (stock BPV on these engines leak to some extent.)

ok well then...im new to these cars...i kno dont kno what actually works with actually making any performance with it...so i guess i'll prolly just start off with minor mods...tmic...intake and exhaust...a flash...boost gauge and turbo timer...and im no ricer or what not...boost gauge and turbo timer are just a couple of things i need to make sure nothing breaks

Get a dashhawk, it will help troubleshoot problems a LOT, it's a datalogger that can log everything, boost PSI, knock retard, AFR etc.

I would do an intake, bypass valve, flash, TMIC, and maybe a downpipe. BC coilovers and a couple of AutoEXE things.

^^^ what he said

stay away from a full catback until theres a controller or flash that will fix the fuel cuts that people have been getting...but its not looking like that time will ever come
