Every time I navigate to a new thread it pauses at the gray screen before finishing the load and that message comes up on the lower left corner of my browser. It takes a substantial amount of time to get to the thread. Not sure where the problem is at, but this is the only site I visit where this happens.

Anybody have this or know what might cause it?

It could be the fact that it wasn't optimized for IE(at least that's what I think), have you considered Firefox or Safari?

They're free, right? I've used Firefox and Mozilla and didn't like them much, but that's probably only because I'm so used to IE. I didn't think I had any reason to change, but maybe I do now. Do you know of any issues with Vista? Is it a matter of preference among the alternatives, or is there one that's actually better?

I can figure that stuff out somewhere else, so if you don't want to respond that's fine.

Yeah it's free, It doesn't have any issues for me on Vista. It's better than IE, faster, safer. It's preference and what's just better, I'm using it now with no issues. It does take some time to adjust but now I can't even look at IE. There is this cool add-on, adblocker plus, that blocks ads, and you can block ads and flash objects automatically (only if they're known ads) and on your own. I love it.

I just downloaded Firefox and it is faster and doesn't have that problem. It took an extra couple seconds for every screen on the forum and was seriously pissing me off, making the forum less enjoyable, so I'm real happy it's solved. I'm also surprised how much faster FF is. It'll be worth getting used to just for that.

I'm glad it worked out.

no offence but more people use IE then firefox, so you should still look at fixing the error. Telling your members to change browsers in my opinion is really not a solution to the problem! i thought VB was fine with IE anyway?

I'm sure that's the case with the general internet population but I'm willing to be a majority of us use Firefox or something else.

so you are saying the general population use IE but the people on this forum mainly use Firefox? hmmm so the people on this forum arent from the general population?

anyway admin could check awstats to verify but i highly doubt firefox is even close to IE.

stats on my website for this month attached - of course this website could be different.

I do not have all the access, the owner does. But since I use firefox after having an IE flaw help in one of my PC's taking a dump on me, I am more likely to suggest firefox be used. Most forum "bugs" seem to be appearing only with IE. I will report this to the forum owner, thought.

yes i would have to agree with you there in regards to bugs, IE definatly seems to pick up more bugs or errors while firefox seems to let them go. still an awsome website! :D

I reported the bug yesterday, so it is on the list of things they have to do!

I started using Firefox after I this thread so it's not an issue for me any more, but I'm trying IE now. Yeah, it's still doing it.

what does 4 't's mean?

Raider

to the top triple time? Wait, that is 5 t's.

Bottom line, as much info about this error that you can provide me to pass along, the better. I saw the controlobj info in one post.

tttt is commonly known in the text world as "to tell the truth" and "these things take time." for some reason, a lot of ppl use it when bumping a thread...

maybe I'll start using Firefox. it's just different. I've been using explorer for the last 10 years.

Firefox is way better, it's faster at every site. I'm glad IE doesn't work here; it got me to try something else which turned out to be better.
