Consumer Reports, as a whole, is a crock of garbage. They consistently put price as the most important feature.

Honestly, does anyone think that any Hyundai model, which they ranked overall as 7th out of 36th, is better than any Mercedes, which they ranked 36th?

In general, I have far fewer problems with CR's road tests than its reliability research, which is severely flawed. My main problem with their road test scores is that they refuse to divulge the formulas used to calculate overall scores as a matter of "policy." So there's no way to judge how their criteria and weights compare to your own.
