Monotonous ONE

So today...i had to make a trip from my job to another spot to pick up something for a customer. She needed it real bad so I was in a hurry. On the way theres a merging lane that feels like an on ramp so naturally i brought my speed up (unknowingly) to 70 mph...it felt like the right speed =)
Little did I know there was a cop eyeing me basically the whole time. As soon as I see him he starts making his way toward my road and turns in behind another car. I knew he was comin for me but I had my hopes up regardless. So he flips on the lights after he catches up and i pull off onto the entrance of a plaza thing and put down all my windows...made sure i had my seatbelt on...put on the emergency flashers etc etc. I lock my center console (where my gun is) and get out my drivers license and my concealed carry permit.
First thing I say..."I have a firearm in my center console...heres the key to it"...he goes around to passenger side...takes it out and empties the mag into the cup holder and tells me to "Relax...ill be back in a minute"...he goes to his car to run the serial number. Obviously I bought my firearm 100% legally...its in my name and all that.
So he comes back to the passenger side with my gun and licenses and before he can say anything...we both hear POP POP POP and then tires briefly screeching from the road we just came off of and a little bit up the road...i estimate about a football field away. I look...see nothing...he looks...sees something ...says "SLOW DOWN!" and throws my gun into the car(literally)...slams the door gets in his car and drives off.
Later when I come back around theres 10+ cops in an area with a candy painted old school chevy caprice with what looked like 24's on it. No one in the car...could see the shadow of someone in the back of one of the cop cars. $HIT WAS CRAZY YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
