Had my winter tires put on yesterday. Have a 2008 GT AWD. Told the guy to be aware of the TPMS. When I picked it up he told me there were no sensors on this car. Looked up the specs on mazda.ca and sure enough no mention of the TPMS! It's standard on all US models! What's up with that!

Yeah, the TPMS is mandated in the US on all cars after the issue with Ford/Firestone tires killing people.

Yeah thats a kick in the balls . I am from canada and when I bought my cx-7 the dealer told me that it had it. So when I changed my stock tires and rims to the winters I was told by people that I would have a light stay on saying low tire pressure or something like that. It never came on then I found out from some guys on this site that the canadian cx-7 dont come with it. I was pissed because the dealer told me it did . Next time I am there I may let the fella know about that .

You can buy aftermarket setups of you want it. It helped us once already when one of our original tires began to leak.

Yeah, I think Canadian 7s still have sensing capabilities, but just not the sensors, because they are not required by law like they are in the US.
