hey guys! anyone ele here have this kind of problem???
I know there was talk about this in other threads.
But I would like to solicit info from those in my area.
<others' info are still though>
A week after i got my car, i sent it back b'coz the RES isn't functioning properly. They immediately replaced the unit.
When I got it back after service, and the ambient temperature was around -20 C, the remote starter still shuts off after 3~5 secs. Then I noticed that when the temperature was around -10 C, it was working well. No shutoffs after 5 secs. However, last weekend, 3~4 March, it shuts off again after 3~5 secs.! And the temperature last weekend was above freezing ( around 5~10 C ).
I really couldn't tell now if it's really a function of the ambient temperature. But the remote starter's design must be irregardless of the ambient temperature or else it would not serve its purpose.
It still shuts off now! I'm in Calgary.
The temp now is still above freezing.
