I just bought a Nav radio of ebay from a CX-7, for $750 but it doesn't come with the rear view camera.

I have a Sport model, I know the CX-7's are pre-wired for this package but what do I need to make the radio work propertly.

here is my list

GPS antenna (Maybe is already installed on the car)
Rear view camera (Where do I buy it?)

In the case that my CX-7 is the sport model, how can I hook up the radio to a RCA converter to amplify the sound with a extarnal amp?

Ouch I called the dealer today to check the cost of the OEM rear view camera and it's $789 list price. I paid $775 for the nav radio shipped :D

I guess I will have to modify the camera conectors and buy a rear view camera from ebay CCD with IR.

What did you search for to find the nav system? I search cx-7 but have never seen the nav system.

I always search CX-7 almost 3 times a day to check for parts just like that and I was lucky to find the NAV for $750, I think the buyer put it like 3 or 4 hours before I buy it now.

The radio arrived to my house but I haven't see it yet, because I'm on a bussiness trip. Hopefully it works with my Sport NON bose system. If not I will add a external amp. I already found a CCD rear view camera that installs on the license plate but I still don't know what's the connection type on the head unit.

If you look at a GT model the rear camera is fixed next to the lisc plate lamps theres a cut out for it, this cut out is not on the sport or touring. Take a look at a mazda lot Its model specific.

The camera is fixed on the Rear door or the plastic piece on top of the license plate? do you have a picture?

By the way the SPORT, TOURING and GRAND TOURING they all have the option of the technology package. I was told the camera was fixed on the top of the license plate on the plastic part that haves the logo is this true? they also told me if I buy the camera I have to buy the plastic part on the color of my CX-7. I'm not at home I'm in another country so I can't check by myself hehe. I only drove my CX-7 2 days after I bought it and I have been traveling since.

They call it the rear garnish look at the plastic around the lisc plate area on the left side of the left lisc plate lamp where the camera is there is a cut out and the camera is mounted there on the sport and touring w/o the camera that area is not cut-out theres plastic material there. I have a touring at home w/o the camera i have a friend with a GT with the camera I don't think I have enough balls to ask him to take apart his hatch the only way to access the garnish panel and camera is from the inside hense removing the inner plastic hatch plastic. When you get back in the US check out a mazda lot somewhere you will see what I'm talking about immediately or maybe a dealer can send you a parts fax or email with a pic.

my cousin haves a GT with technology package, but she doesn't even know where is the camera located, I just need to get home from this bussiness trip to see her cx-7 and see if I can do something with mine, either way I will put a camera back there OEm or aftermarket. I just need to be home to see my sport cx-7 and start from there. I bought the cx-7 on a wednesday around 8pm, and friday morning I was at the airport. I bought the NAV radio of ebay and is home already I'm just ansious to test it. and see if it will work with the non-bose system speakers. And I'm hopping that the CX-7 haves the GPS antenna already installed been so cheap. I have a external GPS antenna at home from a portable GPS that I can use if the car doesn't have it.

I just need to get home :D to start modifying my cx-7
