has anyone gone to Mazda for the Sirrius AFTER they bought their car to have one installed ?? My Mazda dealer offers new customers 20% discount on accessories after you buy the car as part of a V.I.P. program, which makes the price about $300. I don't know if that covers the cost of installation of not ?? Anyone know or have already done this ??
Thanks

Well, Sirius is out for me... Dealer wants $190.00 to install on top of the $380.00 unit cost and the $27.00 adaptor. Not worth it just for the radio button convience.

I really want integrated Sirius in my '08 CX-7. I've been searching the boards, haven't found any posts by somebody who had it installed after purchase of the car. Has anybody had the dealer do it? Anybody done it themself? Had somebody else do it? I'm considering all options, would appreciate some feedback.

I would imagine its really easy to install it yourself. If its like any of the other audio attachments, you plug it in on the back and probably have to run a wire somewhere for the antenna.

Had my dealer install as part of the purchase agreement and they did an excellent job. I love Sirius.

Same here. We bought our CX-7 and had the dealership eat the entire cost. I've had Sirius since 2003, can't go without it. My only wish is that the display (non-nav stereo) cycled thru the name/artist and the song title. Pushing the cycle display button can get annoying. But that's a minor complaint. :)
