Here is an email response that I received from CP-E:

Yes if we get some more intrest in the intake or we see a lot of demand for the exhaust. So far we have seen neither. Sorry for the bad news. Maybe you can generate some interest and get 15 down payers.

Very Respectfully,

Are you planning a catback exhaust for the CX-7?

Put me in. Corksport is making one already. Just so you know. But it would be nice to see another company making an exhaust too.

I have voiced my interest to Street Unit, who sells CPE products like the CAI. I love the CPE intake, very well made. They just need to see enough people wanting them to justify the time to engineer it.

I emailed Corksport. Here is their reply:

Hello,

The pre-production unit is being built and we should be doing some testing within a month or so. Our goal is to get some power from the Cx7 without giving anyone a headache from exhaust noise or resonance.

Thanks
Derrick

I for one can't wait!

I definitely am in the market for an exhaust system, with my other mods in the works now, so I guess I should email Corksport myself, which I will do. I'm too old for the "loud fairy" to rain on such a parade, and hope that they can make something that does exactly what they say they're trying to do: HP without too much noise or resonance.

After all, it IS a family vehicle.

Kindest regards,

I'm interested in an exhaust. As long as its reasonably priced.
