After reading all about the CX7 mazda and shopping around for a good deal, i placed my order this morning with Werribee Mazda. They actually had a black luxury CX7 with black leather in stock ( very surprised ) and i get to pick it up next Wednesday after they add my extra's to it. I think i got a very good price considering other dealers weren't prepared to give much of a discount.. The extra's i opted for were tinted windows, scuff plates, reverse sensors, aero kit, i-pod adaptor, rear bumper protector and carpet mats. I made sure they stated genuine mazda accessories on the contract ( except the tint ). The aero kit is on back order so they are happy to loan me a car when the aero kit arrives end of April sometime, whilst they add it to my car. Has anyone else had an aero kit put on their car? Has the kit ever been in stock? Just wondering..
My fingers are crossed for next week, hope everything goes to plan. I've checked the VIN number through Mazda Australia and they've assured me the car is a FEB 07 build and has recently just got to the dealers... Wish me luck! And the price, a little under $48,500 on the road....

I thought it was too good to be true  I got a call today from the dealership in Werribee and was told the CX7 mats, scuff plates, i-pod adapter, reverse sensors, bumper protector basically every accessory i had ordered was on back order. I knew the aero kit was a 4 week wait, but the rest should've been ready to go for a pick up tomorrow. The windows haven't even been tinted yet! Anyway, i'm not happy because i was mislead! I think it's fair enough to inform the buyer of these issues in advance, not the day before the car is due for collection... i' really put off by this. I've decided to wait until all the accessories are on the car before i hand over the money, especially since i still have my Mazda 6 to drive. Anyway, a lesson learned.. For others still on the market for a CX7, my advice is to be aware of possible delays... :(

Hi Speed6,

It sounds like its a common thing with the CX7 accessories. I got my car in late November and waited until early Feb before i got my floor mats.

Although most of the accessories weren't available until January, i was still disappointed having to wait another month even though they were ordered back in November.

Anyhow, i'm still happy with the car even though the fuel economy is very disppointing.

I hope you don't have to wait too much longer for your car. :(

Hey speed6, don't let it get you down too much. I think a lot of people have had to wait for stuff. I'm still waiting on scuff plates and mud flaps (nearly 6 weeks).

Just save a few dollars a day whilst you wait so you can actually afford some petrol for the car when it gets here ;)

Gosh, is the fuel consumption really that bad? Everyone keeps going on about it...
Re: waiting for the accessories, i wish they were honest and told me they were on back order, rather than say we'll fit those extra's and the CX7 will be ready today ( Tuesday ) .. That's all. I just don't want the head ache down the track... I can't stand dealing with dishonest people.. :(

Strange that......

picked up my BB Luxury on 12th March, I saw one other CX 7 outside Brighton Mazda on that day and have not seen another since.

I commute from the West into Collingwood every day so thought that I would have caught sight of at least one.

Strange that......

:) :) :) I picked up my BB Luxury CX7 on Saturday and i must say i love it! What a pleasure to drive...

Apart from the initial dissapointment of certain accessories being on back order, Werribee Mazda were wonderful to deal with, especially Paul, one of the co-owners. He assured me as soon as the Aero kit, reverse sensors and scuff plates came into stock, they would loan me a vehichle and complete my CX7... They couldn't do enough for me.. The car was presented to me immaculately!

I'm so glad i bought it, for what you pay, it's such value for money.. My husband was trying to convince me to buy a new ML 350 or a Range Rover Sports... After driving it today, he is now impressed! It moves compared to my Mazda 6.

I just love how Mazda has 2 or 3 versions of a type of car and for example in the luxury CX7, all those goodies are standard... No surprises, leather's inclusive... and the rest.

Very happy i am! :D

Excellent stuff Speed6!!!

We will be ordering own (Galaxy Grey Luxury) up here in Brisbane this week, and I have the exact same accessories as you do except the iPod adapter, so looks like we will be in for a wait as well. Amazing, months for a set of floor mats

Glad you are enjoying it, can't wait for ours as well.
