third time now for the engine light for a malfunctioning gas cap
I know I put the thing on tight, but it seems to loosen itself
I know sometimes when I try to put it on it starts clicking before it even turns once -- anyone else finding problems with this?

Just about any car will have this problem from time to time, because the fuel delivery system depends on a small vacuum to prevent vapors from escaping to the atmosphere. Generally, a little vasoline applied to the filler lip and the rubber gasket on the cap will take care of the problem.

I just had my gas cap replaced under warranty.
My check engine light came on at 330 miles!
The service department claimed that there's a service bulletin on this issue.
The old on would start clicking without the cap even turning a little.
This one seems better.
