I find it harder to read when the navigation switches to its nighttime screen. My Acura has a choice of going daytime screen all the time. Does Mazda offer the same option??

You can select day or night all of the time, or you can just press the dash illumination knob (it's sticking out of the left hand guage). Pressing that will brighten up the dash lights and make the nav go to daytime.

Problem solved. Thanks a lot!

Well, at nighttime, if you press the knob, it does brighten up the dash lights and your screen is brighter. Problem is, for my taste, that is way too bright during the night. This is what I did...
1. Press the voice guidance button on your steering wheel and say "DISPLAY DAY MODE"
2. This will brighten up your screen but not the dash lights. Personally, I really love this setting. My screen is brighter at night and remains bright during the day. My dash lights are not too bright and the electroluminescent blue backdrop is beautiful.
Well, of course, if you prefer that your dash lights are bright that you've gotta wear shades then...don't follow my advice. ZOOM ZOOM
