Is there a simple way to reduce to noise level? I heard once that you can add sound proofing to the hood and wonder if that would make a difference...

get some dynamat and line the inside of the doors. that will drop noise levels a few db's. the other areas would be down by the footboards and the trunk. they also sell spray in style. any local pro audio install shop should sell it. dynamat isnt cheap though, and you need quite a bit i would imagine in these cars...

most dealers nowadays that have a good-size detail shop should have some sort of sealant package for sound. The dealership I work at has a 2 part package - the first part is the undercoat (whole car) for about $100 - for another $100, they can actually remove the interior panels on the doors and spray directly into the door. If you ask me, that's the best $200 you could spend if you're looking for less road and wind noise.

i saw some dynamat at bestbuy or circuit city and for two doors worth it was 85bux. and the trunk package was 100bux. so thats 270plus tax... and you have to install yourself. i think igo is on to something much better. good luck!

This topic came up on another tread for a Honda board and one person posted that they found a roof patching material at their local home improvement store that was basically a 1/4" to 1/2" tar shingle that was flexible and had an adhesive backing. He reported that he used it on both the floorpan and the inside of his doors. I've not used it myself, and it's probably a lot heavier than dynamat or brown bread, but something to think about...
