Hi all

just wondering what prices you guys (in Australia only) paid for your Luxury models?

is there much bargaining to be had or is the car still too new?

thanks and cheers

I'm in Adelaide and was shopping it against the Subaru Forester XT Luxury Manual.

I asked for $46K flat but the best I could get was $48,000 on the road. This
included

CX-7 Lux G. Grey.
-mats
-Ipod adaptor (bad idea after reading posts)
-Reverse Sensors
-Full tinting
-Tow Bar.

Don't really know how that compares to interstate but all 3 of the Adelaide based dealers quoted within $500.

Cheers

hi nick

thanks for the reply. Any idea what the cost of the options were separetely?

I'm guessing the tow bar would have been about $500, and the rear sensors perhaps $400?

regarding the tinting- do all the side and rear windows end up the same shade after tinting? I think the front side windows are lighter than the rear ones normally?

cheers

Price I was quoted by the Townsville, Qld was $48,771. Didn't ask about extras as their trade-in value for my 2001 Tribute (40,000kms) was $13,500. I soon lost interest after that.

tinting $400
tow $650
sensors $495
mats $170
ipod $375

delivery for vehicle not due until end of month / early June so i'm not sure about the tinting. I asked for the darkest legal all round so at this stage i'm assuming the colour will be uniform across all windows. however i did notice the subaru ones were lighter upfront.

hi giggygiggy1

many thanks for that info...

Which colour did you opt for in the end?

Would you be able to tell me the dealer/salesman? I might end up shopping in NSW if I can't get the price down here in ACT. Trouble is that both the mazda dealers in town are owned by one company (though they trade under different names!!!)

Guess in Sydney there's a lot more competition between dealers...

:-)

thanks again

cheers

Hi Satz, I opted for Pearl White...........we go to stage 4 water soon and we can't wash cars .......plus I had a Pajero in Pearl and it was great.......I live in Albury Wodonga, a relatively small town...........no where near sydney......on Vic/NSW border........try Alessi Mazda..0260212111...Matthew..............

thanks for all that info giggygiggy1

pearl white sounds rather sensible for the dry areas...we're in a similar situation here in Canberra, though I'm still keen on either copper red or black!

You must be enjoying the car no doubt!

please keep us posted on your experiences further down the track

kind regards

guys, just be careful when quoting on the road prices as all states have different levels of stamp duty. Victoria has just changed their's recently as well.

Hi. New to forum. Negotiating a deal on Black Luxury with Reversing sensors, Ipod, mats and scuff plates. Obligatory stamp duty in WA is $2961 (on RRP of $45560). First offer from dealer is $47800 on road and accessories fitted. Not paying too much attention to the cost of accessories as I expect they have substanial "mark-up"
